MONTENEGRO POST CP & THERMALLING COURSE SEPTEMBER 12th-19th 2008
The beautiful and spectacular mountains of Monetengro form a fabulous backdrop to an attractive bay with lovely beaches and the picturesque medieval port of Budva.
Post CP
The trip is aimed at the post Club Pilot looking to further their skills. Although newly qualified pilots are welcome, good forward-launch technique is neccesary as the launch area is fairly small.
Flying
There are several flying sites, described in more detail on the website www.montenegrofly.com. The most popular and convenient site is directly overlooking the bay and offers an impressive 760m top to bottom with a landing on the beach. Perfect for repeat flights as there is a main road direct to take off, allowing quick turn around times. If conditions allow, cross country flights are possible.
Holiday
A 7 day trip with potential of 6 days flying. You will require a Flight to Dubrovnic. This trip is ideal for non-flying partners as the flying is mostly within the bay and landings are often on the beach! The town of Budva is a beautiful medieval walled port with many shops, bars and restaurants. Public transport is plentiful allowing easy travel to and from the accommodation. (if you wish we will drop you off in town on an evening,but a taxi would be needed for your return trip.)
Accommodation
This is within the purpose-built and newly completed Adventure Centre.
There are six en-suite twin bedrooms a large lounge with satellite TV, video, DVD and internet connection. A fully-fitted kitchen, also terraces with a barbecue and outside seating area. It is strictly non-smoking accommodation, all rooms are fitted with cigarette smoke detectors.
The centre situated high above the resort town of Budva with panoramic views and peace and quiet as standard. The Centre is also on the edge of Lovcen National Park and some walking and cycling routes start right outside the back door.
The restaurants and beaches of Budva are a short twenty minute drive away.
Accommodation is on a B&B twin room shared basis.(En Suite)
Mountain bikes can be borrowed by guests free of charge (when available)
